I have let my hypertufa dry for about 2 weeks. It's still not hard and dry.

2 weeks is not long enough.
I read you have to wait at least 6.
There are instructions on how to do this here.

I agree on the 6 weeks. I have never had mine set up in as little as 2 weeks.
