Lining question

Building a pond, is it best to use the flex rubber, or a solid plastic tub liner.
Which one holds up longer?
Thanks, Horton

Horton, I think the solid would hold up better.
That's what we used. Four years and it's been great.

Horton, how is the project going? I'd like to see it when you're done.

It's coming along slowly.
There were portions of digging that had some old root system, and many big boulders.
I'm working on it weekends and when I can get a few neighbor boys.
It should be done before winter. I've picked out most every piece of hardware. Expect it to be operational by Nov.

Horton, make sure those roots system are not going to come back to bite you later on.
Also, my neighbor has started building one. He is using a thick rubber liner. He built one about 6 years ago with the same material and it has held up very well.
